Abstract

This research article presents a detailed and critical analysis of the Ahmadiyya Movement (Qadiani Jamaat), its historical background, the life circumstances of its founder Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani, the stages his claims went through, and his beliefs are presented in the context of the Islamic belief in the finality of the Prophethood. The article includes when and how the Qadiani movement began.

The article also investigates the reasons for the emergence of the Qadiani movement, its historical relationship with British colonialism, and the resulting reactions in the Muslim community. The important works of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad have been reviewed in order to reveal the true nature and pace of development of his beliefs.

These claims are examined in the light of the Quran and Sunnah, the consensus of the Muslim Ummah, and the authentic Hadiths. The analysis shows that their belief contradicts the unanimously accepted belief in the finality of the Prophethood, on which the Muslim Ummah has always been united. Furthermore, the article includes an overview of the Khatam-e-Nubuwwat movements, as well as a review of the arguments and responses of academic and religious institutions, which contribute to the ongoing scholarly discussion on this topic.

The study concluded that the movement founded by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani and its prophetic claims deviate from the fundamental Islamic belief of the finality of prophecy, which must be refuted on intellectual, historical, and religious grounds.
